What are the top MBA programs in the UK?
I’m interested in pursuing an MBA in the UK. I’m curious to know what are the UK’s top-ranking and well-recognized MBA programs. These should be ones that are accredited and hopefully have some recognition in the US as well (for post-grad employment). Thanks!

Okay. I looked up several things. First of all, I looked at the international rankings done by the Financial Times. Then, I cross-checked these with Business Week’s non-U.S. rankings. Finally, I checked to see which schools were AACSB-accredited, since you wanted something which would be recognized in the U.S. I did notice that neither Oxford (Said) nor Cambridge (Judge) was AACSB-accredited; they probably feel they don’t need to be, since everyone knows they are high quality. The only other one of the top 10-Financial Times ranked schools which was NOT AACSB-Accredited was Imperial College Business School, which isn’t as well known here, so I might be careful about that one. So, given all of that, this is what I found (in Financial Times order):
1. London Business School (also top tier by Business Week and AACSB accredited)
2. University of Oxford (Said) (also top tier by Business Week)
3. University of Cambridge (Judge) (also second tier by Business Week)
4. Lancaster University Management School (AACSB accredited)
5. Cranfield School of Management (also second tier by Business Week and AACSB accredited)
6. Imperial College Business School
7. Manchester Business School (also second tier by Business Week and AACSB accredited)
8. City University (Cass) (AACSB accredited)
9. Warwick Business School (AACSB accredited)
10.University of Strathclyde Business School (AACSB accredited)
Hope that helps!
Good list from Neniaf. compare the schools in the Official MBA Guide. It’s a comprehensive free public service with more than 2,000 MBA programs listed worldwide. It allows you to search for programs by location (US, Europe, Far East, etc.), by concentration (finance, marketing, aviation management, health management, accounting, etc.), by type of program (full-time, distance learning, part-time, executive, and accelerated), and by listing your own criteria and preferences to get a list of universities that satisfy your needs. Schools report their accreditation status, tuition cost, number of students, class sizes, program length, and a lot of other data. Schools provide data on entrance requirements, program costs, program characteristics, joint degrees, and much more. You can use the Guide to contact schools of your choice, examine their data, visit their web site, and send them pre applications. You can see lists of top 40 schools ranked by starting salaries of graduates, GMAT scores, and other criteria.
